Max Merchandising began as a boutique merchandiser for Broadway and touring theatrical productions when it was originally formed to handle the merchandise for the Broadway musical RENT. In 2002, Randi Grossman purchased and renamed the company and, along with Vice President Meridith Maskara, grew the business to include some of the most successful plays and musicals in recent years. In 2007, Max Merchandising expanded to provide services for a wide range of corporate clients and events. They were exclusive merchandiser for Pope Benedict XVI's visit to New York City in 2008, the Nelson Mandela Celebration in 2009, the annual World Science Festival, and Ai Weiwei’s Circle of Animals exhibit in Central Park. They have worked with many of the most respected brands and companies in the U.S., including Bloomingdales; Dr. Seuss; DreamWorks Animation; MGM; The Breast Cancer Research Foundation; Columbia University; CSI: The Experience in Las Vegas, Orlando, and Australia; and NYC & Co.
