All Product Lines from Games for the Mind
Games For the Mind (GFM) was founded in November 1998 by Walter and Steven Poelzing in a two bedroom apartment in Cleveland, Ohio. Their first game, Chobolo was a customizable board game. It was the first game to allow complete customization of the game board and characters. The majority of games produced by GFM are designed by Steven Poelzing. The oldest games in the GFM arsenal are technically the Party Conversations. Steve wrote his first live action role playing game in 1994. Now there are 10 games in the waiting cue for production. The plans are to release a new Party Conversation game each half year. The Slums, started as a joke, when a Monopoly Game was taken a little too seriously. The players felt that there should be more of an opportunity to devaluate your neighbors' property by their proximity to poorer properties. There is hardly anything in The Slums to really remind you of Monopoly. The Slums was designed to give you the biggest change from Monopoly while preserving the illusion that a player is making thousands of dollars.
