All Product Lines from GT Interactive Software
After its advent in 1993, GT Interactive quickly put itself of the map by releasing the milestone smashits Doom I and II by ID Software to great commercial success and critical acclaim. It was in 1995 when GT Interactive branched out into the budget and value market, which included deals with large department store chains such as K-Mart. Another popular FPS shooter would follow with Quake, released in 1996, also developed by ID Software. Over the years, GT Interactive acquired many game studios, including WizardWorks, Humongous Entertainment, FormGen, Warner Interactive Europe, One Stop, SingleTrac, Legend Entertainment. In an ironic twist of history, GT itself was bought up by Infogrames in 1991, which was renamed to Atari Inc. in 2003.
