Description

Please note that this is a DTP (Desk Top Publishing) game designed on a desktop computer and all components, including the counters which will have to be cut and mounted, are printed on paper. These are designed by some very well-known designers and are a low cost alternative to today's professionally produced games. On rare occasions, some of these games are reproduced by other companies with higher quality components including die-cut counters but most of them are not. If you believe this game to have a professionally produced version, please contact us with your inquiry and we will help you to locate it if it does indeed exist.

Battle for China is a board game simulation of the War of Resistance against Japan from the initial Japanese invasion in July 1937 to the end of 1941. The game is designed for two players, one directing the military forces acting to defend China against the Japanese invaders (the Chinese Player) and the other the forces of Imperial Japan (the Japanese Player). Battle for China can also be played with a third player taking the Chinese Communist forces.

Battle for China comes with a map depicting China, 150 miles to an inch. It is divided into multiple areas, with one or more areas corresponding approximately to a province. Units are abstract, each representing approximately to Corps and Divisions for the Chinese and Divisions and Brigades for the Japanese.
