Description

Around the year 1849, many miners and prospectors, called 49'ers, rushed to the West in the search for "Gold". Always leading them onward was "Mother Lode," the source of the gold found in the streams flowing from the mountains. In order to try to trace the gold in the streams back to its source, the prospectors would pan or dig for gold in the streams. At every junction of two or more streams, they would pan for gold, and if they found gold in one stream, they would follow the "color" (as they called it) or gold up that canyon. In that manner they hoped to find the "Mother Lode."

As you play the game of Prospecting, you will be doing the same type of prospecting as did the 49'ers. Many times they discovered gold, only to find that someone else had already been there and claimed it. So will you!

Remember... those who search for gold and success will find many disappointments and false starts before they find the "Mother Lode". The "Mother Lode" in Prospecting is indicated by a GOLD NUGGET. So, keep trying because, GOLD IS WHERE YOU FIND IT.
