Description

Rum & Bones is a board game of cutthroat swashbuckling pirate battles for 2 to 6 players, 14 years of age and up. This set can be played with any faction. A copy of the Rum & Bones Core Box is required to play.

Captain Sarah Kale: Sarah Kale comes from the distant South Pacific island that shares her last name. Once a teeming settlement of villagers, the population was wiped out by smallpox from a visiting whaler. A very small child at the time, Sarah was the only survivor. She was found some time later by a far-traveling French privateer. The French brought her aboard and she quickly made herself an essential part of the crew. For many years she stayed with the ship until the old captain retired. The incompetent new owners placed one of their sons in command. Never one to suffer following for long, Sarah led the mutiny that put the vessel under her command.

Sir Alexander - Quartermaster: No one is quite sure where 'Sir' Alexander earned his honors, only that he insists on being referred to by title of 'my lord'. Most captains might find his tone uppity and irritating if he weren't so very damned good at getting the best out of his crews. Charismatic, inspiring, and natural at striking dramatic poses, Sir Alexander cuts a noble image on any quarterdeck. He relishes a battle like few others, and he spends an inordinate amount of time polishing and sharpening his sword (although no one can ever remember having seen him actually USE it).

Sinbad - Swashbuckler: While everyone has heard of Sinbad's famous Seven Voyages, few believed he truly existed until the Locker opened and he strode forth from the distant past. Everything about this new Golden Age of Piracy is a delight for him, a time of high adventure, daring exploits, and legends to be made at broken. For the moment he is content to hire on as a crewman until he (literally) learns the ropes. Modern sailing vessels are far more complicated affairs than in this time, though the principles are still much the same. Sinbad secretly hopes to return to his time with one of these vessels under his command. Such a legend he would forge!
