Description

World War II was the bloodiest conflict in history. It consumed the World and caused millions of victims in Europe and the Pacific. It lasted form 1939 to 1945. World War II was fought predominantly in Europe and the Pacific.

In Europe it confronted the Axis powers of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy against the Allied nations: Great Britain, France, the United States, and the Soviet Union.

Initially the Axis had early success, but when the Soviet Union and later the USA joined the war, they were step by step beaten back. Then, first Italy and later Germany surrendered to the Allied powers on May 8th 1945.

The World at War: Europe is a game covering the Second World War in Europe. The campaign game covers the whole war in Europe, but other minor scenarios exist to learn the game or play something shorter. The campaign starts with the German invasion of Poland and lasts until one of the two sides wins the war or the last turn is played, whatever happens first. The main idea in the game is to bale to play the full campaign in shorter time than other more complex games and to offer a point of view easy to learn and play even to non wargamer players.

Scenarios:

  • 1939: Poland
  • 1940: France
  • 1941: Barbossa
  • 1944: Overlord
  • 1939-45: Campaign game
