Description

Every year on June 20, when the sun disappears below the horizon, the legendary magic exam takes place in the tower of the Babas Magic Academy.

At the beginning of the exam, each sorcerer's apprentice receives a special spell from the chosen examiner. In order to fulfill this spell, the sorcerer's apprentices must collect magic stones of different compositions as quickly as possible by moving as purposefully as possible through the vastness of the tower.

During the magic test, each player takes on the role of a powerful magician who uses his magical abilities to directly influence what is happening in the tower - movement cards guide both the sorcerer's apprentices and the examiner in mysterious ways across the field of magic.

After a long time in the service of science, every magician has his favorite apprentices - and he only gives them the top grade magia cum laude. A fierce competition begins between the magicians. During the exam, the magicians not only think about the well-being of their sorcerer's apprentices, but also consider their own advantage. The knowledge and ambition of the apprentices are used to perfect one's codex. The game ends either when a magician has helped his two apprentices to succeed or the exam time has expired. The magician with the most victory points wins and becomes the most powerful magician in Babas!

Magia Cum Laude is full of surprises and offers families and occasional players as well as frequent players and experts an exciting game with a variable tactical game depth.

The rules of the game are simple and yet situations that require good tactics and strategy quickly arise. Magia Cum Laude offers a solid mix of interaction, tactics and deduction. The short assembly and disassembly time of less than two minutes as well as the innovative pull mechanism were just as convincing in the test rounds as the excitement that lasted until the end of the game.

Includes German and English rules.
