Ironsides

Here is a short set of army-level rules for the English Civil War. It is based on the assumption that if the details of combat are kept simple and abstract, if movement distances are fairly large and limited primarily by the presence of the enemy, and losses are considered in terms of loss of effectiveness, then perhaps we can play a game that looks mainly at the decisions open to 17th century generals and still expect to complete the battle and get home early.
