Description

In January 1944, the German Army Group South began retreating to a line of defense built along the Dnieper River. On the other hand, the Soviet army's advance line, which was built over about 100 km, formed a protrusion near Korsun, west of Chelcassy, and there was a chance to siege and annihilate the German army as in the siege battle in Stalingrad the previous year.

Fearing the siege, Manstein advised Hitler to withdraw his troops, but was rejected and headed for a "fight that could not escape." How should the Germans counter the Soviet troops that are steadily forming a net of siege?

"Escape to Nowhere" is a strategic-level competitive war game based on the Soviet winter offensive that lasted from December 24, 1943 to April 30, 1944 in World War II. The player's position is designed to be from the commander-in-chief's point of view. The German army is required to withdraw in an orderly manner against the Soviet army, which boasts an overwhelming number and strength. Unplanned loss of troops or chaotic retreat means defeat.

The Soviet army does not let go of the attack and aims to siege the German army and completely reduce its systematic resistance, similar to Stalingrad's 6th army. The German army, on the other hand, has to complete the withdrawal battle while trying to counterattack by piercing the gap of the Soviet army with a small force.

This work is the 143rd issue of this magazine, "Rescue the 6th Army! This is a good work that simply reproduces the battle on the Eastern Front of World War II with simple rules. Since a spare counter is used to give multiple steps to one unit, it can be said that it is a playable wargame with few units used on the board for the number of counters.

This is a Japanese-Language item and comes with no English components unless stated in the condition note.
