Description

At the end of the Pacific War, the Allied Forces carried out a landing operation on Okinawa, which is regarded as an outpost leading to the mainland of Japan, against Japan, which has been gaining momentum even after the decisive battle on the mainland.

The battle against Okinawa, which began at the end of March 1945, fought around the main island, and at the end of May, the Shuri Command of the 32nd Army fell. The Japanese army began withdrawing and lost its systematic resistance on the main island of Okinawa in late June. Meanwhile, on April 16th, a landing operation aimed at occupying Ie Island, located 9 km northwest of the main island of Okinawa, had begun. There was a fierce battle there even during the Battle of Okinawa, which is said to be the "Six-Day War of Ie Island."

"Iejima 1945" is a battle-type war game that started on April 16, 1945 and deals with "Operation Indispensable" that occurred during the Pacific War. One is in charge of the American army on the attacking side, and the other is in charge of the Japanese army on the defending side.

This work adopts the Area Impulse System known as "Arnhem Assault" etc., and is a complete Japanese version of the work released in 2015 by Revolution Games. The battle of Iejima, where fierce battles were fought, is reproduced using this system.

This magazine not only introduces the historical background of the battle of Iejima, which is not well known in Japan, but also introduces the works of the game designers of the appendix game "Iejima 1945". It is a content that approaches from both history and game.

In addition, we will introduce a scenario based on the Pacific War as an additional scenario of the tactical tank battle game "TANKS +". Units that can be used in the scenarios shown are added as punching pieces.

This is a Japanese-Language item and comes with no English components unless stated in the condition note.
