Description

Once in a great while, the stars align and collectors find an artifact that has touched the lives of many of the important people and companies of the gaming hobby’s highest pantheon.

Today is one such day.

Dungeoneer magazine spent nearly a decade bringing new content to hungry gamers, and the company that unleashed it, Judge’s Guild, is one of those companies best remembered for pioneering the early days of D&D. Finding an original copy of Dungeoneer issue #1 is already a red-letter day for most collectors (We at Noble Kngiht Games have seen only 4 reprint copies in our company’s 23-year history, never before a single original!); It featured F'chelrak's Tomb, one of the earliest, high-quality published adventures, penned by none other than Jennel Jaquays (formerly Paul Jaquays), but this particular copy brings something to the table a little more…impressive.

As seen in the pictures, this specific copy bears a link to another megalith of the early gaming era, the grandfather of D&D, TSR. Specifically, this particular issue is addressed to Timothy Kask, the first person ever employed by TSR, at PO Box 756 in Lake Geneva, WI, TSR’s original Location.

We cannot say whether this was a personal copy of Mr. Kask, or if he was simply the addressee for TSR to receive an archival copy, but what is certain is that this a masterstroke for a collector intent on getting the most unique gaming memorabilia on the market. There is but one of these to have, and its time on the market is sure to be limited. Save yourself from the agony of regret and secure this piece of history for your collection, lest opportunity pass you by.
