As Operation Barbarossa reached its apex penetration into the Soviet state, the spires of the Kremlin came into view in German field glasses .... one tantalizing look before STAVKA's riposte began. Aided by a Russian friend known as "General Winter" ... plus steely-eyed Siberians brought in to teach the invading Hun a lesson, the Wehrmact was subjected to a furious counter-offensive during the closing days of 1941 and into early 1942.

Despite years of tactical-level simulations, with various board and map permutations, the openness of the Russian Steppe is still unexplored terrain. Longer LOSs, longer shoots, and just having the vantage point of watching Ivan .. not to mention those state-of-the-art early T-34 tanks... heading your way as you rub some feeling back into your icy hands and prepare to ram one more AP round into your PaK 38.
