Description

"Midway Battle" is an aircraft carrier game designed with a new concept.

Since it is a relatively large scale of 4 hours per turn and 100 km per hex, it is assumed that enemies within a certain distance can be found as targets by performing a fan search like an actual battle. For this reason, blind search (a system in which both armies have the same map and hide each other's position with a partition, etc.) and dummy markers (both fleets on both sides exist on the same map), which have been used in conventional aircraft carrier games However, since the dummy is mixed in the real fleet, we don't use a system that can tell which fleet marker is real).

The problem with this system is that the position of distant enemies can be known, but both fleets move simultaneously (actually, the U.S. forces plan to move, then the Japanese move on the map, The US military moves according to plan). Reading each other's position is very important in the 400-500 km attack range, and you can feel as tense as with traditional systems.

The search capability and the distance between yourself determine the Air Operations Points (AOP) available to both sides. The closer the distance to the enemy, the more accurate search information can be obtained, and the more AOPs, the more active the air operations. On the other hand, if the distance from the enemy is large, it may take time for the search enemy aircraft to contact the enemy, and the AOP becomes small, making it difficult to conduct air operations. The Japanese troops, who rely on slow water reconnaissance, have a low search capability, so they want to work closely with the US fleet. However, due to the patrol network at the Midway base, it is not possible to just move forward for the U.S. fleet. Will be.

The game is packed with many elements, including rules such as air combat, anti-aircraft fire, and anti-ship attacks, as well as base attacks, surface combat, landing combat, and special situations with event cards.

Does not include English rules unless noted in the condition note.
