Description

These skirmish level rules are written to cover the period 1200 AD to 1500 AD. This period begins with the ascendancy of the Daimyo and ends in the "Age of War." Japan in this period was organized along feudal lines. There are many fine films that give a good impression of this period, in particular "Seven Samurai" and "Kagemusha" should be mentioned as good films.

The rules are intended to cover skirmish type actions which might involve thirty figures per side. The game can be played with either 15mm or 25mm sized figures. The measurements given are for 25mm figures and should be halved for 15mm figures.

The ethos of these rules is playability coupled with realism, however playability has taken precedence in order to create a pleasurable way of spending a player's valuable time.
