Pemberton & Grant - Vicksburg Campaign of 1863

The Blue & Gray Series are American Civil War games that allow players to refight campaigns in 2 hours. The first 3 volumes in the series portray the campaigns in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania between 1861 and 1865. The short series rules will have gamers playing in 30 minutes. The game specific rules have details critical to each of the campaigns.

Volume IV – Pemberton & Grant: Vicksburg was the key to the Confederacy holding the Mississippi River and staying connected to its western states. General Grant’s bold campaign to control the river and meet and defeat the rebel forces protecting Vicksburg was a gamble that many thought had long odds for success. General Pemberton’s plan was to turn the tables on Grant and prevent him from besieging Vicksburg. Because once besieged, all would be lost.
