Description

No Trumpets, No Drums is a game of the war in Vietnam, 1965-75. It can be played by two players or teams, one commanding Communist armies and guerrilla forces and the other pro-Western countries and their American allies. Conflict represents a spectrum of operations, to include political military combat. The prize: control of Indochina.

Players maneauver divisions, brigades, regiments and guerilla cadres as well as their supporting air, naval armor and artillery formations in both conventional and insurgent warfare. Combat is onften continuous and awlways bloody, and the core of the game is in the struggle for polical goals that will generate military success. There are special rules for helicopsters, Green Berets, communist sappers, bombing North Vietnam, winning hearts and minds, Operation Phoenix, Viet Cong bases, the secret war in Laos, and much more.
