Description

In conjunction with the popularity of the Tiger I tanks (Item No.6820 depicting an s.Pz.Abt.504 in Tunisia; and Item No.6608 portraying an s.Pz.Abt.501 tank in Tunisia in 1942-43), We are offering a Panzer III Ausf.N. The Ausf.N was an infantry support tank, an evolution of the Panzer III design. The main difference was that it was armed with a short-barreled, low-velocity 7.5cm KwK.37 L/24 gun, which could also fire a HEAT round. The Panzer III N appeared in August 1943, and they were commonly issued to Tiger battalions. This is certainly the case with this Dragon kit, which shows a tank from s.Pz.Abt.501. The second battalion ever to receive Tiger I tanks, s.Pz.Abt.501 fought in Tunisia from November 1942 till its surrender in May the following year.

(Apart from the rebadged box now bearing Dragon’s logo), this kit comes with easy-to-assemble DS Tracks. The kit is extremely well engineered in 1/35 scale, offering a perfect balance of accuracy and easy assembly. This Panzer III Ausf.N comes with accurate decals representing vehicles from s.Pz.Abt.501 serving in North Africa. It's the perfect accompaniment for Dragon’s scintillating Tiger Is fighting in that same continent during the desert war.

Miniatures are supplied unpainted and assembly may be required.
