Description

This is the 3rd printing of the original version of the game that started a phenomenon. Only about 3,000 copies of this exceptional piece of gaming history were produced, making each and every one a jewel suitable for the most serious of collectors.

This specific copy has stood the test of years in better than average condition overall. The specific components are described in detail below:

Box - The box has a tear up the bottom right corner and extending approximately 1" up the side. There are stray markings on the cover sheet and additional locations where the woodgrain paper has peeled up. It is to be considered Fair in its present state.

Vol. 1 Men & Magic - The first and most recognizable of the three booklets included in this set. There are a few small creases in the front cover, though none exceed 1/2" in size. There is a small stain on the bottom of page 3, as well as a few small notations on pages 9, 11, 23, and 28. If not for the listed imperfections the book could comfortably be called EX, however, inclusive of them it must be called VG+ at best.

Vol. 2 Monsters & Treasure - The second book of the set has several stains on the cover, though none on the interior. Much like the first volume it also has a few notations on pages 3, 14, 18, 24, 32. These notations are more substantive than in the first volume, but only on the noted pages. Other than these notations there is no other damage to the interior, making the book VG/NM.

Vol. 3 The Underworld & Wilderness Adventures - The back of this volume has a couple of small stains, though the front cover does not have any. The interior is crisp, clean and free of damage with the exception of a single notation in the margin of page 24. This volume is VG/NM overall.

Reference & Correction Sheets - these loose leaf sheets are all present and have relatively minor creasing in the tops of the pages, though no significant staining discoloration, or markings of any kind. They are VG+ overall.

In sum total the set is Fair/VG+ with the specifically mentioned notations. This is a rare opportunity to get one of the most notable artifacts in the history of gaming. These are only available once in a blue moon, so secure yours now!
