Description

Wee Warriors holds a special place in the history of the D&D game, being the first 3rd party company to produce content for the game, they were responsible for the world renowned Palace of the Vampire Queen module, but their drive to help innovate and push the D&D game forward didn’t end there.

OD&D made the use of miniatures more or less essential, and in the wake of this need Wee Warriors provided an early solution for the fiscally-minded dungeon delver in the form of constructible cardstock terrain. While it was certainly not the first time that cardboard terrain was used with miniatures, this product. The description on the cover states that it was for use in roleplaying games or grand scale battles, but based upon its background art, and when it was released, was clearly intended to be used to facilitate D&D play.

The set consists of 10 three-dimensional buildings in 25mm scale with removable roofs. The buildings include:

  • a wizard's cottage
  • a longhouse
  • a smithy
  • an old mill
  • a pawnshop
  • a temple
  • an inn
  • four huts.

This is an exceptionally rare item with a wonderful place in the history of the original Roleplaying game. It is only a matter of time before a serious collector sets this jewel into their crown and it will be gone, make sure that collector is you.
