Acutely aware of the crushing weight of tons of earth above your head, you gingerly take a step forward as you make your way down the seemingly endless corridor of a long forgotten tomb. The darkness envelopes you, negating the meager light from your lone remaining torch. The air is choked with the unsettled dust of a millennium and detritus covering the stone worked floor remains undisturbed by anything other than your own passing and an almost imperceptible flow of air stings your eyes with it's acidic caress. 200 yards later the corridor begins to widen and gradually becomes more of a burrowed tunnel than a stone worked corridor, eventually opening into an enormous underground cavernous lake. An eerily green light allows you to a see good 50 yards in every direction but the darkness eventually overpowers the faint light which appears to be from many jets of scalding, green liquid bubbling up from the bed of the underground lake.

From the corner of your eye you notice a glint of light coming from the edge of the lake. As you investigate, a knowing smile forms at the corners of your mouth. This is what makes the dangers and perils all worthwhile, the craftsmanship of the sword is unparalleled, a faint blue glow emanates from the blade which remains in perfect condition after laying in the water for untold centuries. As you grasp the hilt and stand up, a thunderous crack reverberates throughout the cavern causing the very earth to rumble and pitching you forward into the water, the blade slipping from your grasp and tumbling down into the murky depths of the lake. What sounds like an avalanche of rock and dirt tumbles into the lake somewhere far to you left. But dirt and rocks do not move with grace, speed and strength through water.

As a gigantic wave rushes towards you the light from the blade becomes a blinding brilliance and some unknown voice, coming from the sword, pleads with you too grasp it, wield it, and slay in the name of justice, honor, and with righteous fury. An enormous black, scaly form bursts forth blocking the light but illuminating its gargantuan bulk, gigantic claws land on either side of you and the long serpentine neck of the nightmarish creature darts towards you. You are frozen with fear as saliva dripping from the gaping jaws drips onto your leather armor causing it to disintegrate. As panic grips you, an ancient, intelligent and yet undeniably evil voice assaults your mind...

Welcome morsel, it is too bad you can't reach that wretched sword, I have not had a worthy challenge in centuries. But worry not, after all, you are just in time for dinner...

Harken back to the days of yore when the descriptive story was just as important as the dungeon crawl with this Swords & Wizardry MEGA pack. A total of 8 products for one low discounted price!

Swords & Wizardry Complete Rulebook

This book expands the Swords and Wizardry Core Rules to cover all of the early phase supplements from the 1970’s. It creates a 1-volume resource allowing the players and game masters alike to create and run adventures and campaigns that will last for an entire lifetime. The game is supported by a vast array of adventures, and other resources that are produced by Frog God Games.

This is the game you played 20 years ago. It’s true to the original style and philosophy that made the game great. No “Spot Checks” here. Simple, flexible rules that allow players and game masters alike to roll play and roleplay. This stand-alone tome provides all the rules you need to play the game. It's easily transferable as a rules set for other retro-clone games as well as those old dusty modules you still have in the attic.

Monstrosities

The largest compilation ever of monsters for Swords & Wizardry/0e. If you play the very first edition (0e) of the game, or if you play Swords & Wizardry at the gaming table, this book is a must-have! 186 brand new monsters await, along with hundreds of the older monsters so that they're all in one book.!

Monstrosities was created with the generous help of the Swords & Wizardry internet community, as you can see from the list of unusually brilliant authors whose erudition and eloquence grace these pages. The book’s successes are due to them, whilst any errors or failures in the transcription of their noble work are doubtless my own (Matthew Finch).

MCMLXXV

This module is intended to show how old school roleplaying provides enhanced descriptions and provides not only storyline and encounters, but creates a feeling of “being there”. Back in the old days, this was the way it was done—on the fly, by the old timers (and this author counts himself an “old timer”).

1975 is meant to take you back to that time the “old-timers” talk about with a look of wistfulness in their eyes. Join us as we all travel back to 1975.

Grimmsgate

Deep in the wooded wilderness, the village of Grimmsgate is an outpost town on a seldom-traveled trail, right at the edge of nowhere. The village’s half-ruined temple of Law, dilapidated inn, drunken blacksmith, exiled trader and a few fur-trappers are enough to keep the bloody-minded denizens of the dark forest at bay, but nobody really expects the village to still be there in another ten years. The woods have become too dangerous for the trappers who once caught animals for fur, and merchants no longer travel the poorly-maintained road.

Grimmsgate is an introductory adventure for the Swords & Wizardry tabletop roleplaying game. The Swords & Wizardry rules are needed to play this adventure.
