Description

Yes, the very 1st edition of the Dungeons & Dragons game! Only approximately 1-2,000 copies of this rare 2nd printing box set were made and due to the popularity of the game most were well used. A true collectors item.

Detailed Condition:

  • Box - Possibly the nicest woodgrain box we have ever seen. Very slight shelf wear on the corners with an ever so slight crease on the upper left corner of the box and a small ding on the upper edge of the box top. The labels has a crisp white color to it and is mark free except for an extremely light, erased pencil mark in the upper right corner. Solid EX condition, near EX+

  • Volume 1: Men & Magic - Very minor fraying on the upper left corner of the cover. Cover is crisp, clean, and mark free. Interior is crisp, clean, and mark free. No staple rust.

  • Volume 2: Monsters & Treasures - Very minor fraying on the upper left corner of the cover. Very slight crease along the upper edge of the back cover. Exterior cover is crisp, clean, and mark free. Interior cover has some minor scuff marks. The 1st 3 pages and the last page have a few very minor scuff marks, all other pages are crisp, clean, and mark free. Minor staple rust that does not bleed into the pages.

  • Volume 3: The Underworld & Wilderness Adventures - Very minor fraying on the lower right corner of the back cover. Cover is crisp, clean, and mark free. Interior is crisp, clean, and mark free. No staple rust.

  • Correction Sheet - NM Condition, crisp, clean, and mark free.

  • Reference Sheets - All Pages are crisp, clean, and mark free.

Also please note that the price was corrected on the price list by the manufacturer. This is a commonly known variation in the woodgrain box sets. Overall, this is the nicest copy of any printing we have ever seen and would make a great addition, if not a centerpiece, of any D&D collection!

While there may be a few nicer copies of the woodgrain box set out there, they are going to be few and far between, and will cost many thousands more than the one we are offering. Don't miss this excellent opportunity to pick up the "holy grail" of rpg collecting in near perfect condition!
