Description

Warsaw 1944 covers the second part of the Soviet offensive against the Army Group Mitte (Army Group Center German). The victorious Red Army rushes to East Prussia and the Polish capital.

Their first game, Bagration 1944, covering the first two weeks with the destruction of a large number of German divisions and the liberation of Minsk. The two are independent but can be linked in a major campaign. Warsaw 1944 is a game for two players, one representing the commander of German forces and the other commander of Soviet forces. It is played on a map covering the theater of the time. It is divided into hexagons representing 20 km from one edge to the other. It uses pre-cut cardboard pieces in representing military units that participated in this campaign?: Division German side and the Russian side Corps essentially. A full game lasts 15 rounds of play, each representing two days of real time.

Duration of the game is a few hours to a game.
