Description

The role of cavalry in the modern age was not necessarily to ride down the enemy with lance and sabre, but to use their horses to get to the battlefield and maneuver around the flanks of the enemy.

Once in position, the cavalry generally dismount and fight on foot as infantry (although a mounted reserve is often held available if resources permit).

Polish cavalry platoons are tiny with just eighteen to twenty dismounted soldiers. They are armed with one of the excellent Polish wz. 35 anti-tank rifles and a wz. 28 automatic rifle (a license-built copy of the American Browning Automatic Rifle) in each platoon, supporting the kb Mauser wz. 98a rifles of the troopers.

This gives a company of three platoons enough firepower to fight as infantry and plenty of anti-tank capability to deal with German tanks (almost all of which are easily penetrated by the wz. 35 anti-tank rifle).

Contains:

  • two Kawalerii Platoon
  • two Anti-tank Rifle teams
  • Command HQ section
