Description

Please note that this is a DTP (Desk Top Publishing) game designed on a desktop computer and all components, including the counters which will have to be cut and mounted, are printed on paper. These are designed by some very well-known designers and are a low cost alternative to today's professionally produced games. On rare occasions, some of these games are reproduced by other companies with higher quality components including die-cut counters but most of them are not. If you believe this game to have a professionally produced version, please contact us with your inquiry and we will help you to locate it if it does indeed exist.

Tsaritsyne 1919 is a grand-tactical scale game simulating the military operations which led to the capture of the city of Tsaritsyn (the future Stalingrad) in June 1919 by the White armies during the Russian Civil War. One of the players controls the Bolsheviks (Reds), the other the anti-Bolsheviks (Whites).

The scale is 4 km per hexagon and each game turn represents one day. The weather (clear) has no effect in the game. Two six-sided dice will be needed to play (and two ten-sided dice for the optional random events).

Includes:

1 special rules and scenario booklet with historical notes.
1 A3x2 map.
306 counters.
1 color Player Aid Card.
