Description

The featured insert game module in "C3i Magazine" Nr18 is "Downtown: Dragon's Jaw" by designer Lee Brimmicombe-Wood. Included in the issue is a full-color "Downtown Map Extension" (Thanh Hoa) which abuts the southern edge of the original "Downtown" map.

Also, the C3i Nr18 insert countersheet contains replacement counters for the following Downtown flights (due to printer's errors): F-8 flight Corktip; A-7 flights Jury; Hornet, Termite; EA-6 flights Battery; Scorpion; F-100 flight Spruce; B-52 flights Purple; Quartz, Scarlet, and Cobalt. In addition, the C3i sheet contains NEW counters for the F-100D and the Australian Mirage IIIO(F) and the Canberra Mk.20. There are also two additional F-105 counters specially for use in C3i's Scenario D18 (Eve of Destruction). Two A-4 counters have also been supplied to make up for a perceived shortage of A-4's in some of the scenarios where multitple Navy strikes might occur.

The aircraft data charts for both "Linebacker III" (from C3i Nr17) AND for "Dragon's Jaw" (from C3i Nr18) are inserts within this issue.

C3i Nr18 also has articles on Twilight Struggle featuring strategy tips (by Steve Carey) and Designer's Notes (by Ananda Gupta); two NEW battle scenarios for War Galley on the battles of Alalia and Cumae; a fabulous article "Learning Here I Stand in 20 Minutes or Less" by designer Ed Beach; plus NEW naval battle scenarios for Flying Colors; and three highly play tested battle scenarios for Commands & Colors: Ancients by designer Richard Borg & C3i GBoH Series editor Dan Fournie; and so much more!
