Description

Please note that this is a DTP (Desk Top Publishing) game designed on a desktop computer and all components, including the counters which will have to be cut and mounted, are printed on paper. These are designed by some very well-known designers and are a low cost alternative to today's professionally produced games. On rare occasions, some of these games are reproduced by other companies with higher quality components including die-cut counters but most of them are not. If you believe this game to have a professionally produced version, please contact us with your inquiry and we will help you to locate it if it does indeed exist.

Carolina Rebels is a game covering two of the battles (Cowpens and Hobkirk's Hill) that took place in South Carolina during the British Southern Campaign: General Cornwallis's attempt to strike at the colonies through their "underbelly" and the attempts of General Nathaneal Greene to thwart that ambition.

The design focus is on the effects of tactical formations and on how units fight, plus commanding small forces in an era where almost all combat was "close". Carolina is a fast-playing game of low-to-moderate complexity. To that end, much detail has been factored into the mechanics.

40 yards/hex, 50 men/counter. Four 17x11 inch game map sections and 240 counters.
