Yale University Press

Ninety -five years and seven thousand titles ago Yale University Press was founded by a young graduate and his wife. In its first few years, owned entirely by the founders and guided by a committee of the Yale Corporation, whimsy played a part in the publishing of dozens of books of poetry, many from the literary renaissance then at Yale--MacLeish, Farrar, Luce, and the Benéts, for example--and soon the Yale Shakespeare, and the Yale Series of Younger Poets, going strong today.
